NAQOYQATSI depicts the ubiquity of technology in our world. It explores how everything from the media, politics, religion, and warfare to food, weather, sports, and medicine issituated in this "new nature". This forum is an opportunity for you to present an original workreflecting on the global impact of technology, and to communicate your ideas to the watching world. Read more about the conceptual background This site will not be a direct reflection on the film itself rather it is intended to be a dynamic forum where people canexplore the themes of NAQOYQATSI through their own original work. Our hope is that each piece will present a uniqueperspective that will further the dialogue. Your examination of the themes of NAQOYQATSI should take the form of astand-alone piece of digital media. The piece should act as your own comment on the phenomena described in NAQOYQATSI (as summarized on this site) or about technology/globalization as you understand them. It can be something that you have already created that you feel speaks to the question, or a new piececreated in response to this request. It can be as complex or simple as you wish. It can involve interactivity,animation, video, text, images, photography, sound, or other digital media. The idea is simply to use the tools ofthe Internet creatively and critically to reflect or comment on technology itself.
