Here are the types of submissions:

GIF or JPEG Still Image
These should be of a reasonable size so that they can be viewed on the average web user's screen. Generally this should be no larger than 800 x 600 pixels. If your image needs to be a larger size, please email us here before uploading: questions@qatsi.org. If your image is a JPEG, it should be properly compressed for web viewing. Files should not really be any bigger than 200k in size if they are still images. If you want the thumbnail for your image to look a certain way, you should upload it as well. All thumbnails should be 125x125 pixels, and should be JPEGS.

SWF Flash Animation
Flash animations should be no bigger than 800x600 pixels, and should be self-contained. If you want your flash movie to be composed of multiple files, please email questions@qatsi.org first to explain.

QUICKTIME Video
To submit Quicktime video, you should have a file that is under 10MB, and it should be at a resolution lower than standard video, so that it can be viewed properly streaming over the internet. You can use whatever compression codec you want, but please try to optimize for web viewing.

Windows Media Video
Please use your best judgement in properly compressing video for display over the web.

MP3 and Real Media Audio
Please do not upload files that are more than 10MB. If you want to use a specific image as the thumbnail for your audio piece, please upload it as well following the specifications outlined above for JPEG thumbnails.


TEXT
We will throughly review all text submissions before making them live, so please use common sense when making a submission. Profanity is generally to be avoided. If you know how, you can use HTML markup tags to enhance the presentation of your text submission. If you want to use a specific image as the thumbnail for your text piece, please upload it as well following the specifications outlined above for JPEG thumbnails.

If you have a website of your own work which you believe relates to our forum, please submit it. Please do not submit other people's website and represent it as your own, and do not submit other websites that you think are related if they were not created by you. Please do not submit innapropriate content.
